Finally Saying Goodbye (Grieving)

Today on the walk from Dozón to Sidella, the teras finally came. As a song from U2 played in my headphones, thoughts of my mom filled my mind. I finally started crying (after 9 months!) and walked down the trail with music playing, tears flowing, sun shining, and a breeze blowing. I’m so happy I finally cried. I felt lighter. I felt peace.
