Rubiães to Tui ~22km (22Sep2019)

Updated: Nov 16, 2021

The sun came out this Sunday on a beautiful walk that saw me leave Portugal and cross into Spain. This day felt more like a “cafe day” as I made a few stops along the way for a brief coffee, and then one last coffee in Portugal. As I walked through the old castle city of Valença, I met up with a mother/daughter duo from Denmark I had seen the past few days, and we crossed the bridge into Spain together. This day was marked by a lot of small villages on the outskirts of the big town - small chapels, some farm fields, yet encroaching suburbia ever present. The albergue in Tui is part of an old castle city, and it was neat to walk through these ancient streets. Until next time, Ultreia (e suseia) Dan
