Wild Western Wind Prayer

The wind has whipped about the West Coast of Ireland for the past three days, downing trees, cutting power yet creating amazing sights, too.

A prayer book by Ruben Job and others inspired this prayer this morning:

The heavens declare your glory, O Lord, and the sky proclaims your handiwork. We have heard the mighty power of the wind these past few days, yet we long to hear your still small voice speaking to us this day, because this is the day that you have made. Help us to rejoice and be glad in this day for in you we live and move and have our being.

We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
